This is a small gtk fix.
I have seen it in so many places, but I don't know if
this is the real fix yet.

Could you test it ?

What does it fix? For me, it makes the window smaller and
    positioned incorrectly.

There is one frame inside the other frame.
I don't know if this is the correct fix, but the current
    implementation is not right.

Could you try the latest CVS repository and see if it's any
    better?

Please try 4.1.99-b1 and see if it works correctly.

I can't compile under debian unstable.
    It gives errors about autoconf.

    I have:
    ii autoconf 2.52-2
    ii autoconf2.13 2.13-37
    ii automake 1.4-p4-1
    ii autotools-dev 20010809.1

If you download the tarball you shouldn't need the auto*
stuff. You need to use autoconf 2.13; it isn't compatible
    with 2.5.

I always get software from cvs so I didn't remember there
    were a tarball :-)
The frame inside the frame is still in. You see it, don't
    you?
I don't know the correct fix because if you apply the patch
there's only one frame which is good but if you resize the
window horizontally the vertical scrollbar gets mad.

I think I see it now; does it actually cause a problem, or
is it just a minor cosmetic glitch?

It is just a minor cosmetic glitch.
But can cause problems. Not here.
I still need to know the correct fix.

Perhaps it's a side effect of using the viewport widget at
    all?

What problems can it cause? It appears to me that the only
thing that happens is that there's an extra line around the
list of printers. It isn't at all clear to me that there is
any need to fix this at all. Could you upload a screen shot
    to demonstrate a real problem?

I see what you're getting at. Yup, your patch is correct.
    My apologies for the runaround.

OK, this time I think it's cleaned up for real. Could you
give it a try (in the CVS repository)? Thanks.

This should now be fixed correctly, including the patch.
