If you press the form-feed button, I think what it does is print a fine, dashed line across the paper, and then eject just far enough to get the dashed line out the front of the printer. Usually, when I print with this, I'm stingy with the paper, and I don't press form-feed at all; I shut the printer off, pull the paper out, and cut it at the edge of the print.
