    Hello,

    I am using Xubuntu 12.04 within a virtualBox-machine running on Windows 7.
I installed Gutenprint 5.2.8. I read that this version is able to print borderless on Canon printers. I am using a Canon Pixma IP3000. But up to now I have not found the option to activate borderless printing (Gimp with Gutenprint extension or PhotoPrint).

On th web I have not found anything about this issue. Please give me feedback about it.

    Thanks in advance!

    Oliver

  • Hello,
First, I think you should use 5.2.9, there was a packaging bug in 5.2.8.
In the CUPS interface, borderless printing is a Yes/No option under Print Features Common.
In the printer dialog (e.g., when printing from an application like the web browser) in Debian (and probably Ubuntu) the "Printer Features Common" options are found under teh Advanced tab.
OpenOfice, GIMP might have these features embedded differently, but you should be able to find them.
