GetFree Download Manager / News: Recent posts

This is the first release. It has a lot of problems, but can do one sitting HTTP transfers alright. Keep in mind it is an alphaalphabetabetabetabetaalphaalpha. Enjoy.

Now using <A href="https://sourceforge.net/projects/wxwindows/">wxWidgets</a> for *all* window functionality. I am using wxWidgets for platform independance; Linux GTK+ and Win32; however, apparently under GTK wxTaskBarIcon will not work. There would probably be bigger problems than just that though, so I won't worry too much. When the project does something I will attempt to compile it under Redhat, Fedora or Mandrake, my personal favourites.
I will submit a release by the end of this month (26th of December 2004) and move into Alpha territory.
