First a quick note - I've just read the whole thread so far and rather than answer each mail with an interesting point I'm going to give some general comments. 1) Andrea, If you still don't have cvs access, then let me know but I think I've added you. 2) I favour adding Andrea's new code to the org.geotools.renderer package named lite or some such. Remember this can be in a separate module to avoid clashes with Martin's stuff if you need. 3) Regarding the MVC tools/renderer stuff - I like the idea of being able to actually click on a shape and not the exact point of the marker, I consider ESRI's behaviour to be a bug not a feature! However as for the rest its all a bit over my head and I'll leave it to you guys to work out. 4) I'm not sure about Martin's idea of a feature of wind arrows. I would have thought this was a layer of features with wind speed (for example) rendered using arrows. The same for the city shapes. I'm not sure if this helps or hinders the tool discussion.
