I don't think so. Your best bet is to open a JIRA enhancement request 
against the plugin, or, even
better, provide a patch for that (I did that for Jalopy and findbugs to 
make things move, otherwise
I would still be here sitting and hoping...)

I usually keep different workspaces for different versions of gt2.... 
having gt2 twice in my ide would
probably bring my PC down to his knees :-)
