So are we a go on these ideas?
Geotools in right now switching to the GeoAPI CoordinateReferenceSystem,
and thus to the GeoAPI GridCoverage.
Since our current GridCoverage implementation is broken I would like to
keep on with the feedback process.
Here are our options:
a) Implement CoverageStore based on what you have described
b) Patch up our existing GridCoverageExchange implementation to use the
GeoAPI GridCoverage interface.

Sorry for the very late reply. I was still in a rush for CRS=20
implementation. The good news is that I'm almost done (just finished=20
today CoordinateOperationFactory, which was probably the most difficult=20
piece of the whole CRS package). Well, when I said "finished", I don't=20
means that it does everything. But it does enough for a fair amount of=20
The only CRS piece missing is the EPSG authority factory. I may not port=20
it fully now; I will probably just put a skeleton instead and finish it=20
later. Immediately after that, I will be ready for GridCoverage work.
The priority for grid coverage will be to set up the new versionning=20
system, so we can receive yours classes. I really hope to do that for=20
the begining of next week.
I would be very interrested in the ISO 19123 document. If you can send=20
it to me, it would be pretty much appreciated. But as said previously,=20
I'm not sure we will allowed to use it in GeoAPI as long as it is not on=20
the OGC web site.
Sorry again for the delay...
