Last week I did a lot of preparations to bring the GeoWidgets code into a
releaseable state. Also I adapted a good idea of Martin to avaoid the
problematic "get Object by name" functionality".
Almost last thing to do is adopt a suitable code formatting schema and header
for all the source files.
Also I started documentation. Since I don't know yet if/how I will set up a
GeoWidgets website I just wrote an OpenOffice document to be converted to PDF.
It's supposed to be a combined user's/developer's guide. It's not yet completed
I created a local SVN at home and played a little bit with it (checkout, build,
update, commit). The SVN team functions in Eclipse are really fun to use!
Also I believe I solved the problem "how to get the libraries" in a nice way -
at least it works nicely for me with Subclipse. I just peeked at uDig how they
get the libraries via ant targets and the build.xml file, took this file and
edited/removed everything I though inappropriate for GeoWidgets. And, believe
it or not - it works. :-)
(That does't say I understand every line in the build.xml file - but at least
the relevant ones.)
3. Update 2.2.x?
However I got one build problem with the downloaded library
This seems to be the newest jar of the 2.2 branch of the main module at
"list.refractions.net/geotools", but it lacks the function
which I find strange since Martin added this one to the trunk quite some time
ago. (I belive it exists since more than a month.)
The 2.1 branch (main-2.1.RC1.jar) doesn't help much either, so is there any
newer version of this library? Or should I tell users of GeoWidgets they need
to build Geotools from SVN and add it that project as a dependency because the
functions are too new?

I believe that nightly build JAR files are available only if maven build=20
was successful for all modules. Given that the build was broken for=20
close to one month until recently (thank to Jody for fixing the build),=20
it may explain why you found only olders JARs.
The easiest path (for the users) would probably to get a 2.2.x milestone=20
release before GeoWidget is published.
