Hi Ronald, Inspecting the code it appears that as written it will only pick up the icon if it is in the "styles" directory of your geoserver data directory. So as a workaround right now if you copy the icon into the styles directory and reference via relative url, ie change http://kataster.sv.rostock.de/images/baustelle.png to baustelle.png it should work. I scheduled a bug for this issue. http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/GEOS-1221 -Justin Ronald Woita wrote: > Hi all, > > Justin said that he added the SLD-support for points in kml output just in May . > (http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/GEOS-993 ) > I tested it with the latest 1.5.x nightly build and following sld for a point layer, but it didn't work. > I got a default (gray) vector symbol instead the external graphic. If i set the KMScore=0, so that the output is an raster, the correct symbol is displayed. > > greets > Ronald > > > <NamedLayer> > <Name>Default Point</Name> > <UserStyle> > <!-- they have names, titles and abstracts --> > > <Title>A boring default style</Title> > <Abstract>Baustellenschilder</Abstract> > > <FeatureTypeStyle> > <Rule> > <Name>Rule 1</Name> > <Title>PurpleFill</Title> > <Abstract>Baustellensymbol 50px</Abstract> > > <PointSymbolizer> > <Graphic> > <ExternalGraphic> > <OnlineResource > xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink" > xlink:type="simple" > xlink:href="http://kataster.sv.rostock.de/images/baustelle.png"/> > <Format>image/png</Format> > </ExternalGraphic> > <Size>50</Size> > </Graphic> > </PointSymbolizer> > </Rule> > > </FeatureTypeStyle> > </UserStyle> > </NamedLayer> > </StyledLayerDescriptor> > > > -- > Ronald Woita > http://geoportal.rostock.de > Hansestadt Rostock > Kataster-, Vermessungs- und Liegenschaftsamt > Holbeinplatz 14, 18069 Rostock > email: ron...@ro... > phone: +49 (0)381 - 381 6256 > > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------- > This SF.net email is sponsored by DB2 Express > Download DB2 Express C - the FREE version of DB2 express and take > control of your XML.
