I am using GeoRaptor 3.0.1.0012 for export of SDO_GEOMETRY with attributes encoded in UTF-8.
During export characters are lost. There should be option to select character encoding before writing data to .dbf

I have attached .shp file with ITF-8 encoded characters. Those characters can be properly imported and exported from Oracle Locator DB with other tools.

OpenJUUMP is making nice UTF-8 shapefile export if during startup option -Dfile.encoding="UTF-8"

I will look into the issue.
Can you provide the original oracle table?
    What is your database encoding?
Thank you for bringing it to our attention.

  • To enable support for UTF-8 and to store UTF-8 characters like in this case Armenian one NLS_LENGTH_SEMANTICS must be set to CHAR , The parameter NLS_LENGTH_SEMANTICS decides whether a new column of character data type uses byte or character semantics. More information is available on
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B28359_01/server.111/b28318/datatype.htm#i1835

I have attached original table in table_export.sql

    Krunoslav,
    Thanks for the dump file.
I will take a look in a few weeks' time as I am away all next week and am working on other bugs and consulting jobs.
    regards
    Simon

The table_export.zip file appears to be a CSV with no geometry.
    Table structure? Geometry data?
I was expecting either export or export data pump format and the actual geometry.
