Hello Volker and geonetwork users,
Just to let you know we have the same problem. I've tried to remove the
constraints in the database before importing but that did not work. I think
it has to do with changes in the database structure between versions. In a
betaversion of geonetwork 2.1 the import ran without problems. In 2.1 the
problems occured..... Then I tried to import the metadata from the beta 2.1
into the 2.1 version and that also did not work.... It would be nice if GAST
was enhanced with a function where we could choose the specific version of
the source installation of geonetwork.
P.S. Geonetwork is becoming more and more populair in the Netherlands!!!

Onderwerp: [GeoNetwork-users] Problem with GAST: Migration->Old Installation
I have a problem with the geonetwork-tool GAST.
I have first created an empty MySQL-database. Then I started the Setup:
Database->Setup. Afterwards I started the migration: Migration->Old
Installation. But I get this error message:
"Cannot delete or update a parent row: a foreign key constraint fails
('geokatalog/metadata', CONSTARINT 'metadata_ibfk_1' FOREIGN KEY ('owner')
REFERENCES 'users' ('id'))"
Thank you for your help.
