Biological Process: late nucleophagy

PMID: 22768199
PLoS One. 2012;7(6):e40013. doi: 10.1371/journal.pone.0040013. Epub 2012 Jun 29.
A late form of nucleophagy in Saccharomyces cerevisiae.
Mijaljica D, Prescott M, Devenish RJ.

This paper describes a new biological process, which they term "late nucleophagy". It is distinct from the existing term, piecemeal microautophagy of nucleus (PMN) GO:0034727.

I'm not exactly sure where this goes in the ontology. I was hoping that others who have done the recent work on autophagy would know where to place it properly.

Thanks!

    Hi Jane,

I'm trying to clean up some outstanding items. This one looks like it maybe fell through the cracks. Any thoughts on it?

    Thanks,

    -Dianna

Sorry Dianna, my tickets seem to have got away from me a bit!

    New terms:

    GO:0044805 "late nucleophagy"
    GO:0044804 "nucleophagy"

Copied piecemeal microautophagy of nucleus (GO:0034727) (as OBO_REL:is_a), to nucleophagy (GO:0044804)
