Often when I edit an ontology, I end up with many terms from a node of the ontology opened and displayed in the graph editor. To clean up the display somewhat, I use the feature "hide" and select "everything but selection" or "everything but current term" or one of the other options. I think a very useful feature would be to include two new options: "current term and all descendant terms" and "all descendant terms." The former would allow a user to hide the term selected, as well as any more granular term that is related by is_a relationship. The latter would be similar, but would leave the selected term open. These options would allow a user to quickly close many terms not in use without having to either closing everything and start over or select many terms manually with the shift key. The way I conceive this feature working, if one were to select multiple terms, even in different areas of the ontology, then descendants of any selected terms would close.
