At the 3/17/09 OEWG meeting, we agreed that it would make sense to change the name of the "drag and drop tool" in the Graph Editor to the "select tool".

Karen will send Amina another revised version of the help for the GE with the name change, and will also search the help to see if it is referred to anywhere else. We also need to change the tooltip so that it will show as the select tool with an appropriate description.

Here's a draft of new text describing the renamed "select tool". Currently, the text in the help is the same as that that appears in the tooltip, and this isn't any longer than what is there now, so this should be fine to use for the tooltip.

    - Select tool - Select terms or links. Selected terms are outlined in
a broad light blue line, and selected links are shown with a broad
light blue line. If you have a middle mouse button, drag with it to
    rubber band select multiple terms.

    thanks,

I searched for "drag and drop" in the OE2 User Guide. It doesn't actually seem to let me do a quoted string search, so basically the search was for ["drag" or "drop"]. I scanned through all the hits and it looks to me like the only place we will need to change in the help is in the Graph Editor help page. If you have a better way to search through it all, might be good, but I think making the change I suggested previously in the GE page will be enough.

Done in 2.1-b11. (Why was this priority 7?)

Thanks. I have no idea why it was priority 7. I usually don't change the priority from the default when I create items. Based on the comments, it seems that we were working on the help for a release, so maybe that's why, but I really don't know.
