Making a search causes the current ontology to disappear. I am using OBO-EDIT version 2.2 in Windows XP SP3 with Java 7.04.

I suspect this is another manifestation of the Windows bug where hitting control characters makes the ontology disappear (see, for example, http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&aid=3523730&group_id=36855&atid=418257\), although the other complaints were on Windows 7, not Windows XP.

Paula, I would like to work with you to solve this bug (since no one in the OBO-Edit Working Group has managed to reproduce the problem on our Windows machines)--can you send me your log file? You can find out where your log file is by opening the Configuration Manager (under the Config menu) and look at what it says for "User configuration directory". The log file is in a directory called log in your user configuration directory.

If you can attach that log file and the search you did (a screenshot of it would work), that would be helpful. Was the problem repeatable?

    Thanks,
    Nomi
