some pickpocketing fixes

- when stealing gold, grab at least one coin and don't print a bogus
message about the target not having valid items
- don't create unlimited amounts of gold when the inventory is full

remove conflicting polymorph effects when adding a new one

Combined with no longer applying expired effects, this makes
polymorphing from one polymorphed state to another work (e.g.
from wolf to bear).
