also unselect selected items when changing characters

Otherwise it's possible through a series of clicks like
Identify -> Select item -> Switch Char -> Sell -> Switch Char
to end up with the items previously selected for identification
preselected for sale. I've sold more than one item by accident
that way.

some pickpocketing fixes

- when stealing gold, grab at least one coin and don't print a bogus
message about the target not having valid items
- don't create unlimited amounts of gold when the inventory is full
- always inform player if items get dropped on the ground
