Hello!
Just want to note that support to .Rnw extension, which integrates LaTeX and R statistical system via Sweave is not working, although it is a part of this plugin.

Best,
PM

I (also) have a problem with the tool "R Sweave → PDF" using version 0.2rc3 of the plugin. The tool is enabled ―I mean it shows up black in the drop-down menu "tools"― when I edit a file with extension .Rnw. Clicking on the tool however has no (apparent) effect. The other tools in the plugin work (for instance, "LaTeX → PDF").

I have no problem running "R CMD Sweave myfile.Rnw" from the terminal and the same is true for "rubber --inplace --maxerr -1 --short --force --warn all --pdf myfile.tex" and "gnome-open myfile.pdf".

In gedit, if I go in Preferences → Plugin → Gedit Latex → Configure → Tools → "R Sweave → PDF" → Properties I find that the first job line is "R Sweave "$shortname.Rnw" ". That must be wrong since the command in a terminal is "R CMD Sweave myfile.Rnw" (note the added CMD). However, even if I change the command by adding the CMD, the tool still does not work. Here's an example for myfile.Rnw which works through the terminal with Sweave and latex but does not with the plugin: \documentclass{article} \usepackage{Sweave} \begin{document} Computing$\pi+2\$ with \textbf{R} :
<<>>=
pi+2
@
\end{document}

Thanks for trying to solve this issue!

Now I tried to use the other functionalities with my file .Rnw (Sweave extension) and nothing works. I mean the LaTeX toolbar shows up as well as the drop-down menu but clicking anything has no effect.

In contrast, everything that I tried with a .tex file work.

Not working means: R Sweave or R CMD Sweave is not compiling. I just check this, and even in the latest version of this great plugin Sweaving is not functional. Simply, plugin does not call R CMD Sweave. The only functional plugin, which I arranged a bit is the old 0.1.3.1 version that I still use.

Best,
PM

• This is fixed in SVN, the R Sweave tool works now. The problem was that file extension comparison was case-sensitive and Rnw is not equal to rnw :)
