I use Geany for AVR microcontrollers assembler. This dialect of assembler has some other commands instead of x86 assembler, so most commands not highlighted.

    Did you know you can add more instructions in "filetypes.asm"[1] file on your machine right? You can even make own filetype file specially for AVR assmebly using custom filetypes. There's some info about this in the manual, including where those filetypes.* files live on Windows, if you haven't checked yet.
