The open-source electronics prototyping platform Arduino uses C++ for programming. However, the used files have the extension *.ino instead of the more common *.cpp. When opening such file with Geany, I have to set the syntax highlighting manually to C++. Therefore a small suggestion: could you add the *.ino extension to the file data/filetype_extensions.conf ? Line number 11 would then look like:

C++=*.cpp;*.cxx;*.c++;*.cc;*.h;*.hpp;*.hxx;*.h++;*.hh;*.C;*.H;*.ino;

Thanks in advance,

Peter Scholtens

    You don't need to wait for us to do it.

    You can do this for yourself, menu->tools->configuration files->filetype_extensions.conf

  • Thanks for the advice.
