The GNOME developers have put a lot more effort into their High Contrast theme in GNOME 3.8 (and previous versions). Geany should ship a high contrast app icon so that it looks good when users turn on High Contrast in System Settings>Universal Access.

  • Every icon theme is able to provide their icon for Geany since version 1.23, so the HighContrast theme could very well provide the icon itself.

    However, since it is an accessibility thing, we'd most likely accept a patch.
