Forgotten: (i'm not sure this is a bug or a design
decision)

Sidebar - Whenever i picked show symbol/files list and
_hide_ the sidebar, close the application. Restart
Geany. Geany has 'forgotten' what my setting for
sidebar was in the preferences.

Not applied:

At startup, Geany is not using the font selected for VTE.

You hide the sidebar with the keyboard shortcut, close Geany
and when you start Geany again and press the key for unhide
    the sidebar, nothing happens?
This is not a bug but intended. Because Geany remember that
the sidebar was hidden before exit, but it can't
remember(it's possible but to complicated) what was the
    state before it was hidden.
I'll change the behaviour, so that after the restart of
Geany the symbol list _and_ the open files list are shown.

The VTE font bug will also be fixed.

    Both things are fixed.
There was a bug when saving the VTE settings, so when the
settings were read, there was an error(this affected all
    settings of the VTE).

The sidebar toggling has been improved and should work now
even over a restart of Geany.
Please test it and reopen this bug, if it doesn't work.

in the current svn version the setting for the terminal in
preferences > tools is not saved too. when you enter the
command or path, click ok and restart geany, the entry is empty.
