When I try to open a directory that contains files whose name ends with ~ (backup files) Geany crashes. If I remove the file or if I disable the treebrowser plugin all is well.
Geany version: 0.20
Plugins version: 0.20
OS: SuSE Linux 11
I\'m attaching the output of the strace command when opening a directory that contains a file named \"PlottingData.java~\".

    I think the reason is g_free() inside check_hidden().
    An ugly and tmp fix could be
    - gchar *base_name;
    + gchar *base_name = NULL;
    but this is not the solution, just some kind of workaround which does work for me.

  • I think the problem is now fixed with r1922
