From what you describe, it looks like you are using the wrong root= option in the kernel command line for your boot environment. Please, see http://www.gc-linux.org/wiki/MINI:KernelPreviewFive#Root_device_name_changes When booting via BootMii, the root option must be 'root=/dev/mmcblk0p2' to mount the root filesystem from the 2nd partition of your SD card. When booting via HBC, the root option must be 'root=/dev/rvlsda2' to mount the root filesystem from the 2nd partition of your SD card. Note that the kernel waits _forever_ until the device containing the root filesystem shows up when you specify the 'rootwait' command line option. Cheers, Albert |
