#1 can't open new project

I have just installed gbuilder, and I have the
following problems:
1. when I try to open a new project, all steps in the
wizard are performed, but when I hit the 'finish'
button, I get a "project initialization failed" message.
The 'projects' directory is not created, and of course
the specific project directory under 'projects' is not
created.
2. I can open files under the project, but I can't save
them (maybe because the project directory is missing).
The 'Save As' option is not working, when I hit the
button, no dialog pops up.
3. when I exit the project and save changes to the
project and the file I don't get error messages, are
the project and the files saved somewhere else??
