Damn, I never learn to click "reply all" :/ I know that technical users will probalby find "reference" to be quite acceptable and self-defining... but I am almost certain none of the normal users will. I doubt my mom, sister or dad would and so they would never use it. Even if it really *isn't* a copy, if we can't find something better that is still something 98% of users will understand... I think we should still use it. What about "Unique Copy"? It is simple and implies that it isn't *quite* a copy? I think a simple, clear word needs to be used or it will shoot right over people's head. Unlinked Copy? Special Copy? Clone Image? Copy Image? Image Link? Some of these imply better that meta-data is not linked, but the image is... but only if you think about it. Is there some reason we *don't* have a full on copy/link? If we did, it might make things easier. Something like "Image Copy" and "Image Link" could then be used and might make more sense? Or "Full Copy" and "Image Copy" (or clone or link or what ever)?
