    I hope that the author of gag is reading this...
    I installed gag, tried it (lilo is a "piece of cake" after this), and "uninstall function did something "nice"... Killed both FAT and MBR... 40 GIGs of fat and ext3 space blown into space... Anyone has a good idea how to restore fat? Ok, files could be saved (about 50% of them) but I'd like to restore fat, and most important, 3 linux ext3 partitions, for which I have no clue what sectors each one is starting or ending with... Use TeskDisk to repair your partition table.

      http://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/TestDisk

      TestDisk is a powerful free data recovery software! It was primarily designed to help recover lost partitions and/or make non-booting disks bootable again when these symptoms are caused by faulty software, certain types of viruses or human error (such as accidentally deleting your Partition Table). Partition table recovery using TestDisk is really easy.

      TestDisk can

          * Fix partition table, recover deleted partition
          * Recover FAT32 boot sector from its backup
          * Rebuild FAT12/FAT16/FAT32 boot sector
          * Fix FAT tables
          * Rebuild NTFS boot sector
          * Recover NTFS boot sector from its backup
          * Fix MFT using MFT mirror
          * Locate ext2/ext3 Backup SuperBlock
