Beta testing is going rather smoothly, no major problems so far.
Meanwhile, I've added direct integration with DD-WRT. DD-WRT folks
figured out the way to use fwbuilder to configure iptables on their
firmware some time ago
(http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Firewall_Builder) but the
procedure required few manual steps. Fwbuilder 4.0 implements this
integration out of the box now.
To recap, fwbuilder 4.0 has built-in integration with OpenWRT, DD-WRT
and Sveasoft firmwares for small router/firewall devices such as
Linksys, D-Link and many others. It also comes with experimental
integration with IPCOP and derivatives such as Endian. Script
generated for the generic "Linux 2.4/2.6" host OS supports standard
command line arguments "start", "stop", "status" so it can be used as
a startup-time script in /etc/init.d/.
More updates next week.
