Sebastian, I'm looking for a solution that would not require the entire contents of a directory to be mirrored everywhere. If I have 300GB of files and want to access them on a machine with a 60GB drive, I could still get a big performance boost by having it cache files instead of just downloading them via SSHFS every time. Since my intended usage is my music library, I don't anticipate the files changing very often, and when a music library does change, it's likely only going to be because of new additions. -Calvin Date: Thu, 20 Aug 2009 10:07:25 +0200 > From: Sebastian Dransfeld <seb...@ta...> > Subject: Re: [sshfs] Persistent cache for SSHFS mount? > Cc: fus...@li... > Message-ID: <4A8...@ta...> > Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1; format=flowed > > Calvin Fisher wrote: > > I currently have my music collection accessible from my server via an > SSHFS > > mount, so that I can access it anywhere without having to worry about > > keeping each computer I use synchronized with the latest copy of all > files. > > If I want to listen to a particular file, it's transferred over SSH and > the > > music player is none the wiser.
