Hi All , Great job in putting together such a useful utility. I wanted to know if there's any plans in removing the dependency on glib? Doing a grep -e "g_[A-Za-z]" * in that sub-directory provides multiple entries of the glib functions mainly related to hash-tables and printf w/strdup. The latter function should be easy to remove as there exist a function asprintf() that does the same, it does however; require you to do a #define _USE_GNU at the top of your file before any includes. Finding a new hash-table implementation or writing your own should be doable, but its a bit more work. I am developing applications on an embedded system and have probably < 500kb of free flash. Pulling in glib and possible gettext won't make it as feasible. And if I can do this using less space than providing support for NFS in general (~500kb) it certainly can help reducing the footprint. Any comments? Regards, - Eivind |
