Hi, Is there a way to enable symlink caching in fuse ? I could not find anything meaning full on google. This is the only one, but looks to be related to sshfs rather than fuse itself. http://sourceforge.net/project/shownotes.php?release_id=310124&group_id=121684 I did a kernel compile using my fuse filesystem and noticed that the readlink routine were called 194707 times for the same inode during the 3 minutes that it takes to compile the kernel. That is on average more than a 1000 times per second. psfs_readlink: called ino=1879050348 mn=0x851a3ea8 count=194707 I am using fuse from the cvs and kernel 2.6.20.11 with the fuse module from the kernel. The symlink that gets hammered is (kernelsrc)/include/asm. Regards Paul |
