I just did a dpkg -r fuppes on my ubuntu 7.10 box to remove fuppes.
Then grabbed the latest version (svn-593), compiled and installed via the usual process on the wiki.
For some reason when I run fuppes it shows as SVN-r591 not r593 as expected.
Is anyone having this issue?
Did I miss something when uninstalling?
Is there an easy foolproof way of upgrading between the different point releases?
OS: Linux 2.6.22-14-server
build at: Feb 14 2008 - 20:08:52
build with: 4.1.3 20070929 (prerelease) (Ubuntu 4.1.2-16ubuntu2)
Just noticed the compile date/time still shows as my 591 compile time so obviously i've missed something during the uninstall/reinstall.
Help please :)
It seems that dpkg -r did not removed your old version. Did you install it via "make install" before running checkinstall!?
And the new build seems to use a different --prefix else it should override the old files.
