I notice by way of another thread that Uli has released two new versions of fuppes to the one I have so I preceded to update as I have done a few times now. Generally I use the Ubuntu instructions on the Fuppes Wiki, but tonight I hit an unusual snag.
ross@ALPHA:~$ svn co http://fuppes-svn.ulrich-voelkel.de/trunk fuppes
svn: Failed to add file 'fuppes/src/gnome/fuppes-applet.c': object of the same name already exists
I'd been meaning to move the source to /usr/local/src/fuppes for a while so I decided to try that location and it worked (substituting the fuppes (dir) in the command for my new path). I've got no idea of how svn works or if the problem might be my own, but I definately encountered a problem I hadn't before so Uli, there MIGHT be an issue with the source.
FYI I also had to install automake1.10 (sudo aptitude install automake1.10) which I hadn't needed before (for those that get stuck and don't know what to do).
I forgot to ask. Is there any way of knowing when a new version of the source is released?
Also can you find out what changes have been made to the revision? (the ChangeLog isn't specific after 578.
