Nokia E52 have implemented upnp client and server. Working well with several upnp servers (and client) except Fuppes.
I tried several fuppes configuration -no luck. Still E52 can't find Fuppes.
(in the same lan E52 can see XBMC and ps3mediaserver servers). If upnp server is started on E52, Fuppes show entry
in the log about this event, another upnp client can see E52 upnp server-so this is not network problem. I proceed according to infoabout rebuild Fuppes db and vrt. cont.-no luck
Fuppes working well with my Xbox 1 and Xbox 360, but not with E52.
How to configure fuppes.cfg for Nokia E52 "Home media" ? Did you made working config with Nokia devices ?

    Hi!

Can you please create a wireshark log of the E52 connecting to server it does work with and one of the E52 trying to connec to to fuppes.

btw: Which fuppes version are you using?

The sources you mentioned in the other comment are not from Nokia and in a very early state of development. I highly doubt that the E52 uses these.

    Hi,
    thanks for replay.
I'm using Fuppes built in FreeNas 0.7.1 Shere (revision 5127).
    Version: 0.660
    OS: FreeBSD 7.2-RELEASE-p7
    build at: Apr 10 2010 - 23:49:48
    build with: 4.2.1 20070719 [FreeBSD]

But for logs collecting I installed fuppes-SVN-660-win32 on the XP (I don't know any sniffer for FreeBSD).
Results are the same, still E52 don't recognize Fuppes. Requested wireshark logs are uploaded. In first case (file: WireShark_logs_IntelAVMediaServer_E52.pcap) E52 was connected to IntelAVMedia server (Fuppes was down).
and works fine. Second file (WireShark_logs_Fuppes_E52.pcap) was gathered with running Fuppes and E52 as client.

    IP addresses:
    Nokia E52 192.168.1.27
    Fuppes (win32) 192.168.1.3
    IntelAVMediaServer 192.168.1.3
    Xbox 1 (XBMC, upnp client)192.168.1.11

    please advice

and one more logs (e52_test) . In this case Fuppes (win32) was 192.168.1.21 and E52 192.168.1.27, now looks like Fuppes responding on E52 broadcast M-search , but nothing more...

    Thanks for the log files!

I guess I found the problem. The E52 calls "ConnectionManager#GetProtocolInfo" which is not implemented in 0.660.

Is there any chance you can try with the last version from svn?

btw: wireshark also exists on free BSD.
