just downloaded and installed a copy. In my local install (windows) the directory webint does not include any file. Possibly this is why the remote ftp server does not have any contents in the webint

solution -> reinstall software , copy contents of
C:\Program Files\FTPbox\WebInterface (the webint directory) to the online ftp space.

    Seems to fix everything

The application is programmed to ignore the webint folder if it exists on the remote server to save the user some time, bandwidth etc.
Problems with installing the Web Interface have been reported lately, however, so I'll take a look and see what's causing them. Installing it manually could be a temporary solution.
For anyone else that wants to do that, the files can be found here: http://ftpbox.org/webint.zip
