i couldn't find any references to character encoding in the help or the project site, so i hope you can give me a clue here. i was happily using accented characters in ISO-8859-1 files, but i want to use UTF-8 now. i converted the file and set my LANG variable. xfte now displays the characters correctly - for a while. when i select them, they confuse the editor badly. the length of the lines changes, holes appear in the selected block, and so on. it's not usable.
is there any solution?
