From: Ken Yap <ken@...>
I have released Etherboot 5.4.0 at http://www.etherboot.org/
The release notes are at:
The LOG is at http://www.etherboot.org/LOG
Etherboot 5.4 owes much to:
Marty Connor for generously sponsoring the development of PXE booting in
Etherboot, staging Etherboot booths at LWE, and hacks to the code.
Michael Brown for being the architect and implementor of PXE and UNDI
support in Etherboot. In addition his changes to the build system have
strengthened Etherboot's underlying architecture.
Eric Biederman for his many fixes, notably to get LinuxBIOS code to work
again, but also much needed rework and sanitation of the code, now
made possible by the new build system.
Timothy Legge for his persistent work on new and existing drivers and
many helpful fixes elsewhere.
Anselm Martin Hoffmeister for the DNS resolution code and maintaining
the Wiki site.
Markus Gutscke for the HTTP support.
Radim Kolar for the FSP support.
YingHai Lu for the port of the FILO code.
Yannis Mitsos and George Thanos for the Hyperstone port.
Tobias Lorenz for the ARMNOMMU port.
Doug Ambrisko for FreeBSD work.
Erdem Guven for the mtd80x driver.
Tim Fletcher for a lot of testing.
Paolo Salvan for work on a universal boot floppy/CD using Etherboot.
H. Peter Anvin for helpful advice at important moments.
and a host of others in no particular order for fixes or testing help:
G=FCnter Knauf, Cai Qiang, Guard Kuo, David D. Smith, Georg Baum, Helge
Wagner, Anders Nystrom, James Pearson, Jeremy Jackson, Jacek Kalinski,
Dag Lem, Jan Kiszka, Daniel Nilsson, Geert Stappers, Victor Sudakov,
Writing an acknowledgement list like this always fills me with dread,
because I am certain that I have missed someone in the list above, or I
have messed up the description. Please, let me know and I will follow up
with an additional acknowledgement list.
