Yeah I get the same error but without:
File "src\Dialogs.py", line 1153, in showMessage
File "src\Dialogs.py", line 1043, in _runDialog
File "src\GameEngine.py", line 366, in run

I just get: cx_Freeze:Python error in main script
      Traceback (most recent call last):
      File "c:\users\proj\cs_Freeze-3.0.3\initscripts\console.py", line 27, in ?
      File "src/FretsOnFire.py", line 79, in ?
File "src\GameEngine.py", line 376, in run
      SystemExit: 1

I am running vista 64 and have a 3.0ghz processor with 4gigs of ram.
I tried running Frets under compatibility mode for xp but that still didn't work.

I can also do everything except actually playing a song. I get the same error:

      Traceback (most recent call last):
      File "c:\users\proj\cs_Freeze-3.0.3\initscripts\console.py", line 27, in ?
      File "src/FretsOnFire.py", line 79, in ?
File "src\GameEngine.py", line 376, in run
File "src\Dialogs.py", line 1153, in showMessage
File "src\Dialogs.py", line 1043, in _runDialog
File "src\GameEngine.py", line 366, in run
      SystemExit: 1

But I usually don't have to Ctrl+Alt+Del. I'm also on a laptop, Dell Inspiron 1720, with Vista. I've tried different compatibility modes but the only difference is that it crashes in new exciting ways.

FoF works fine on my brothers computer though, he's on a stationary PC with XP.

I tried 1.2.451 and got this new exciting error: FoF doesn't start at all and tells me to check the log file for a reason, the log file reads:

      For the Cx_Freeze, Cs_Freeze, and GMatrix33 errors.
      Uninstall version 1.2.512.
Go to "%appdata%\fretsonfire\" ("%appdata%\roaming\fretsonfire\" for Vista) And delete the fretsonfire.ini file.
      Install version 1.2.451.

Using version 1.2.451 works, but doesn't anybody know what the problem with the current version is, and how  to fix it? So far I've been unable to play version 1.2.512, and 1.3.110. Surely there must have been improvements and fixes.
