freeWrap 6.6 release - For TCL/TK 8.6.0

This release of freeWrap is based on the official TCL/TK 8.6.0.

FreeWrap 6.6 is now compiled for 64-bit Windows and Linux.

Linux copies of freeWrap 6.42 replaced

The Linux copies of freeWrap 6.42 were replaced on 4/22/09. The initial distribution did not use the same encryption key as the Windows versions. This prevented wrapping applications across operating systems using the -w option. The new upload now contains consistent encryption keys between Linux and Windows. Nothing else was changed.

freeWrap 6.3 released

This message announces the release of freeWrap version 6.3

freewrapPLUS now includes SQLite

Check out freeWrap program packages. Create executable freeWrap packages that can be later run using freeWrap as a stand-alone shell.

A few security improvements were made for those interested in freeWrap's encryption.

freeWrapBLT 5.5 released for Windows

A BLT version of freeWrap that runs under Windows has been released for freeWrap version 5.5.

The freeWrap and freeWrapTCLSH packages have also been updated slightly to remove the copyright notices embedded in the executables.

freeWrap 5.0 released

Version 5.0b1 of freeWrap has finally been replaced with the official 5.0 release. Version 5.0 fixes some significant problems with the beta version, including:

1) Compatibility with anti-virus programs (especially Norton AV). Those annoyingly slow program startup times (under Windows OS) are gone.

2) The error in freeWrap's initial error trapping has been fixed.
