Sorry for noob question. But, how do you add/edit node details? (these are the
'notes' that can be toggled on/off on the map) When I right-click a node, I
get no option for "edit node details", I've seen this in action on some of the
sample maps that have been shared and would love to use this in my own maps.

There is no such thing as "noob questions!" We're all learning here. :-)
Are you using a current preview version? I'm asking because the context menus
just changed with 1.2.6. and Node Details aren't even available in the current
"official" version...
There are node NOTES and node DETAILS. Both are accessed in 1.2.6 under the
"node features" subdirectory in the right-click menu associated with the node.

Q is right. As part of the refactoring of the menu structures, the Freeplane
Team decided to group all of the node features together.
