Category: Client Group: Latest Subversion Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: FreeOrion-0.3.1RC 5 doesnt even start !!! Initial Comment: Hello. My sytem is an AMD Athlon Xp 3200+ with a Gig of RAM and a Geforce 6200 (128 MB). The OS is Windows Xp with Sp2. The language is german. DirectX version is 9.0c. I am using the FreeOrion-0.3.1-RC5-Setup.exe (or like its called on main site "The WinXP Installer") for the install, and I didnt change the default folders or the contents of the folders. The last version of Freeorion that worked on my computer has been FreeOrion-0.3.1-RC1. Since then, none of the following versions didnt work. The actual RC (5) doesnt even start. If i try to execute any freeorion*.exe from Totalcommander it gives out "Fehler beim Programmaufruf", and if i try to execute from the windows start menu or the explorer it gives out the message: "C:\Programme\Freeorion\freeorion.exe Diese Anwendung konnte nicht gestartet werden, weil die Anwenungskonfiguration nicht korrekt ist. Zur Problembehebung sollten sie die Anwendung neu installieren." (btw in that german error message is a spelling error, it should be spelled Anwendungskonfiguration.) It suggests to reinstall, but it doesnt work. I have a notebook, too, it has a Geforce 5200, and shows those error messages, too. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=544942&aid=1640191&group_id=75752 |
