Hi,
I'm using the stable version 0.686.3 (revision 3011) and created an
iscsi target on a SoftRaid with SATA disks.
I connect to the iscsi disk from a MacOS X (10.5.4) with the globalSan iSCSI tool from Studio Network Solution.
The iscsi disk get's recognized by the MAC OS system after initialization it looks like:
Name : iscsi
Type : Volume

Disk Identifier : disk1s2
Mount Point : /Volumes/iscsi
File System : Mac OS Extended (Journaled)
Connection Bus : iSCSI
Writable : Yes
Universal Unique Identifier : B81FAE89-0857-3359-AD50-EC41A2C5F560
Capacity : 243.8 GB (261,800,026,112 Bytes)
Free Space : 243.4 GB (261,374,644,224 Bytes)
Used : 405.7 MB (425,381,888 Bytes)
Number of Files : 1,046
Number of Folders : 89
Owners Enabled : No
Can Turn Owners Off : Yes
Can Be Formatted : Yes
Bootable : Yes
Supports Journaling : Yes
Journaled : Yes
Disk Number : 1
Partition Number : 2

The iscsi disk also gets recognized by Apples TimeMachine software.

Up to that point everything is fine, but when I transfer files bigger then approx. 50-60MB I get the following errors in the Freenas log file:

Jul 6 15:05:09 iscsi-target: pid 1797:iscsi.c:1149: ERROR Bad "Opcode": Got 0 expected 5.
Jul 6 15:05:09 iscsi-target: pid 1797:target.c:1317: ERROR iscsi_write_data_decap() failed

With file or folders smaller than approx.. 40MB I don't get the errors.

Any ideas what goes wrong ?

Greetings,
Reinhard

This is old iSCSI target bug. still exists. but 0.7x uses new iSCSI target implementation.
    It's not affected.
