when attempting, after loggin in via SSH, to su to
root, the error message

su: not running setuid

is displayed. This prevents gaining root access to the
box. It happens in 0.671, where is worked fine in
0.66, so something broke along the way.

Wondering if this is the same issue reported in this thread:

    http://www.mail-archive.com/freebsd-questions@freebsd.org/msg122189.html

If so, the then su program needs permissions properly set.

Same problem here. It worked fine, but after install 0.671,
unable to su to root. This is especially important, because
bug number [1519616] allows anonymous users to FTP in,
create directories, and upload files with permissions that
do not allow writing by anyone but them. So the only way I
have to remove / changed these permissions is to be root,
    which I can not do.

    Fixed on the next release.
