thank you for that explanation.
On a second thought, it seems to me that my offer to help you was not exactly meaningful.
One more thought still. Users did not really wait for more than two years for 0.8.1. They waited only since Java 1.6.0 has been released, which is a much shorter time period. Other then fixing the Java 1.6.0 issues, 0.8.1 provides almost no benefit over 0.8.0.
Anyway, I understand that the Linux packages for 0.8.1. are not going to be there soon.
be assured that releasing the version 0.8.1 is my first priority within
the realm of FreeMind, but not within the realm of my private life.
Nevertheless, the users did wait more than 2 years for release 0.8.1,
they can surely wait 2 or 3 more weeks for the Linux packages?
It takes perhaps more time than expected because I not only want to
repackage, but also fix a few issues, and I have to reinstall my build
environment after I've got a new computer.
And I don't think you can help without having Linux.
