Hi Ryan,

the formulas, I wrote with latex didn't contain never a % but it may occur.
But it isn't a show stopper.

I looked into the sources of hoteqn and they paint everything themselves! This
can't be the right way, as latex is such complicated and fruitful that this must go wrong.

I would propose to exchange the viewer by a component that uses an installed latex program,
but this change isn't necessary in this release at all.

Prio of bug: 3?

HTH, Chris

Hi,

I have found the thread I mentioned:

I have implemented a extension to JLabel, so nodes can render a new html

I still have to improve my code for public, but if you`re interessted, I
can give you a copy (after removing some bugs :)

(you can see how it would look like here:

Does this help?

Kind regards,

Hi Dimitry,

Sorry, I had thought it was one for Chris. Anyhow, I am not sure what we
should do.

I remember that someone had been working hard on a patch to support
maths in FreeMind. I think LateX is definitely the standard we should
adopt. I will see if I can find that patch and accompanying thread.

Kind regards,
Ryan

Hi Ryan,

I do not know what is the best solution: the component for displaying latex is not developed by me, I only integrated it. And I even do not know latex. So I do not know how % - characters can be displayed in latex. May be there are different variants of coding this character and some of them work right now. Anyway I can not help in solving this issue.

Last not least as I know for half a year there was no better latex displaying component available.

Kind regards,
Dimitry

Betreff: [Freemind-developer] Latex plugin - percent sign not working

Hi Chris,

Another user is having problem with not being able to use a percent sign
in the LaTeX plug in. It may only be a small thing, but it is a big
problem (a show stopper) for some:
