I am running Freemind 9.0 on Kubuntu 12.10, and the preferences are not displaying when I select "Preferences" in the Tools menu. I have seen an older thread from 2007, I assume that much has changed since then, but my problem is the same.
I was running the same version of Freemind in Kubuntu 12.04 without any issues.
My java version is 1.7.0_21
Any suggestion as to what to do to get Preferences back?
Hi, can you please try V1.0.0RC4. TIA, Chris
Thanks Chris. I downloaded V1.0RC4, and when I try to run it (sh 'freemind.sh' from within the directory where I extracted the tar file - I changed the permissions on freemind.sh to make it executable) I get the following error: ERROR: Couldn't find freemind under '.'.
Any suggestions as to what to try next?
dull question: did you download the bin_max package, or the sources? If you downloaded the sources, you can choose "ant run" instead.
I downloaded the freemind-src-1.0.0_RC_4.tar.gz package. Should I download the freemind-bin-max-1.0.0_RC_4.zip package instead?
Thanks Chris, it works now, including preferences.
