How do I access the latex plugin?
see here: http://freemind.sourceforge.net/wiki/index.php/FreeMind_0.9.0:_The_New_Features#Latex_plugin
"With the new Latex Plugin (Insert > Latex) you can now add mathematical formulas to your nodes.
1 Select a node and chose Insert > Latex.
2 Under the node a default text in a box is added.
3 When you click on that box a simple editor opens to enter the Latex code.
4 Close the editor and your formula is displayed underneath the node.
5 Erase the formula by clicking Latex again when the node is selected."
Looks like the Latex plugin is removed from the project. What will it take to get it back again?
I'm presently using https://github.com/Alxa/LaTeXMath-Freemind-Plugin as an alternative.
Actually never mind. One problem with the above-mentioned plugin is that the LaTeX output appears underneath the node instead of within, but this is fixed in the 1.3 version of Freeplane - http://freeplane.sourceforge.net/wiki/index.php/LaTeX_in_Freeplane
The Freeplane developers really did an excellent job there. But hopefully we can eventually see a merge between Freemind and Freeplane, since they ultimately serve the same purpose. It'll be great if we eventually have a single application featuring the best of both worlds.
