I previously created a mindmap .mm file which I exported as html and saved as an mm.html file.

I subsequently lost the original and now I wonder if it's possible to reverse and create an .mm file from the mm.html file (maybe using it's source code?) so I can make additions/amendments.

    I live in hope :)

    Plan B start again!

  • Hi,

first guess: open file in browser and do copy paste into FreeMind.

    Hi Chrishttps://sourceforge.net/p/freemind/discussion/markdown_syntax_dialog

I tried copying the html code into html code view of Freemind but it does not appear to work.

  • Hi,

misunderstanding: just open the normal (not the source code!) browser window, select all, copy, and paste it to the root node(!) of an empty map. HTH, Chris

      Hi

I see. Yeah tried that too - it pastes in some text but does not like it. (see attached).

  • Hi,

you can try to paste first into a pure text editor (notepad++, jedit, emacs...), then copy the result and paste it into FreeMind. Then all formattings are gone that FreeMind might want to interpret.
