After I move node left by pressing control + left, it is not selected and its parent is selected instead.

Procedure:
1. I create a child node C of its parent node P.
2. I select C and move it left by pressing control + left
3. The node C is moved left and the cursor ends up on the parent P; the cursor should end up on the child C, in analogy with control + up and control + down; it is the moved node that should be selected after the operation.

Also, hourglass cursor is shown for a short while during moving the node left, which it should not.

Buggy versions: 0.9.0 beta 16 and later, including RC6.

Bug-free version: 0.9.0 beta 15.

The bug is a regression against 0.9.0 beta 15, but it is not a regression against FreeMind 0.8.1, as the function of moving node left with control + left was not there.

Bugs:
(a) wrong node selection after moving node left
(b) wrong node selection after moving node right
(c) showing of hourglass cursor

    • summary: Wrong node selection after moving node left (0.9.0) --> Wrong node selection after moving node left - 0.9.0 RC6

  • Used testing environment: FreeMind 0.9.0 RC6, Java version "1.6.0_17", Windows Vista.

  • The bug appears only when the preference Environment > Save > "Save used Node IDs only" is set to yes. Thanks for Chris Foltin for discovering this dependence.
