When joining a shared map through the network, edits can be applied by the remote user, except for physical styles. Those lead to a lag (temporary application freeze) on the client side, and the change is not propagated to the server.

I wish I could, but the program freezes as soon as I open the Join Map dialog.
    1.0.1RC1 full package.
This time on Ubuntu 13.04. Will test next week on Windows.
I have attached the error output.

Hmm, I managed to unfreeze it by simply trying to close the program, which brings up the save prompt. By cancelling, I get back to a functional program.
Sadly, the problem is still present: styles don't propagate.

  • Hi L,

please switch off the blinking node plugin. This is probably responsible for some of the trouble and test again.

Tested in Widows 7, same result. I do not know how to switch off the blinking node plugin. Not compiling from source here.

  • Hi,

no programming, just switch off "blinking node" in the format menu for the node that blinks, or just try this again with a newly created map.

    TIA, Chris

I shared and edited a map without blinking nodes (and there was no other open map). Same problem. However, the error output seems more informative, see attached.

  • Hi,

seems to be ok. It could take some time to propagate the changes. Please recheck. Br, Chris

Glad it's working on your side; it's still broken for me. Maybe something else in my config comes into play. The exceptions in the collaboration plugin don't bother you?
I wish someone else could support or disprove.
